Computer Training

Spandhana Centre is providing Computer training program as regular course for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and other intellectual disabilities. It consists of computer skill development course and soft skills training for individuals with ASD and other intellectual disabilities for a period of 2 years.

The purpose of the program is to train the children with ASD about basics of computer and different computer applications. In this program we concentrate on computer skill development program which can cater to employability. This program provides employment in self, sheltered, supported and open sector, depends upon the functional level of the individuals.

This course will enable them to learn deeper level of computer skills and basic etiquette training (Soft skills). This involves 2 years of computer training with 1 year of internship. The computer program covers computer basics, MS office and programming.

Course Pattern

  • Age for admission will be at least 17 years and above.

  • Program aims at developing computer related operations along with etiquette development (soft Skills).

  • It is a certified program.

  • There will be a pre assessment before enrolling the course.

  • The training sessions will be on everyday basis.

  • It is a paid self sustainable program. The yearly payment for the program will be in quarterly basis.

The assessment and evaluation for the program will be conducted at the centre from 1st February 2019 at 10.00am onwards. There will be an orientation class prior to the program.

Pre-Vocational Computer Training Program

Spandhana Centre for special needs is providing pre-vocational Computer training program as a regular course for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and other intellectual disabilities. It deals with the training of the basics in computer and Activity in Daily Living (ADL) skills for individuals with ASD and other intellectual disabilities.

The program aims to train children with ASD which in turn will be the initial step to enter to the vocational training program.

Course Pattern

  • Age for admission should be at least 15 years and above.

  • Program aims at developing basics in computer and daily activities (ADL Skills).

  • There will be a pre-assessment before enrolling for the course.

  • The training sessions will take place on a daily basis.

NIOS

NIOS offers specialised schooling for children with special needs. At Spandhana we provide individualized training for NIOS levels OBE and Secondary. Our students have passed the secondary level of NIOS with flying colours.

Course Pattern

The National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) offer the following courses: Open Basic Education Programme, which includes the following three levels of courses

  • OBE 'A' Level course—Equivalent to class III.

  • OBE 'B' Level course—Equivalent to class V.

  • OBE 'C' Level course—Equivalent to class VIII.
